  1. •  Part Time Welcome Center Staff:  The YMCA is seeking professional, detail oriented individuals. Good phone and computer skills a must.  Please call 910.323.0800 (Fayetteville) or 910.426.9622 (Hope Mills).

  2. •  Welcome Center staff at Fayetteville YMCA: up to 20 hours a week, must be 21, friendly, able to answer phones, communicate information clearly to members and input data into our computer system. Average hours per week is 20, Call for more details 323-0800

Volunteer Opportunities

Everyone is welcome to fill out a YMCA volunteer application – That way when the perfect opportunity becomes available we will already have your application.

We always need volunteers for the following:  youth sports coaches, youth and adult sports officials, assistant gymnastics instructors, running events assistance, ball field maintenance, and YMCA board of Directors and board committees.

Become a volunteer and you will:  help the YMCA, foster relationships between children and caring adults, help provide a safe place for our children to have fun, help teach the importance of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, and change lives for those who cannot always financially afford the opportunities. Also help yourself to develop new skills and leadership abilities, to renew your young at heart spirit and zest for life, to experience satisfaction by making a positive impact on our younger generation.  We pledge to you training in the area you volunteer, dedicated staff & volunteers to work with, and a wildly wacky atmosphere!
